This episode of the Mountain Bikes Apart podcast is all about the training. I recently had a chat with Joe Bauer of AllAroundJoe.com and the All Around Joe Podcast, and he’s a fascinating guy. His show covers the full gamut of health and fitness, from training, to crossfit, to supplements to diet, and I’ve learned a tonne listening to him over the past few months.
I wanted to get Joe on the show to get his thoughts on strength and fitness training for mountain bikers. I think that a lot of cyclists in general don’t think much about strength when it comes to their sport, certainly not beyond getting yourself a huge set of quads. But, having spoken to Joe, it seems that it’s important to go way beyond the legs.
Alongside strength, we cover to how to increase your endurance at the same time, including types of training that can cover both bases in a quick and easy manner.
